"...when in the dark night of suffering sagacity cannot see a handbreadth ahead of it, then faith can see God, since faith sees best in the dark."

I am not a pastor. My only claim to speak with authority of any kind comes from my knowledge of the Word of God, and the authority of the priesthood of all believers. My biggest claim to knowledge is merely in my suffering, because suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not disappoint us.
I do not claim to be holier-than-thou (although I am a Saint of the Most High God), but rather simul iustus et peccator. I've simply walked with God a long time, and I desire to share some insights He's revealed to me over the years, sometimes through silent whispers, other times through loving blows with a sledgehammer.
I also have many random musings and little sparks of creativity I need to exorcise onto paper in order to keep my mind as free as possible from clutter. It's an uphill battle. If you happen upon a little story or vignette that catches your interest, please feel free to prod me to write more.
Real writers don't write because they like to. We write because we HAVE to in order to maintain our sanity. This is a wonderful catharsis for me, and I vow to you the reader that I won't pontificate simply for the sake of airing my own worldview. My goal is to play with words as best I can; because every once in a while, you manage to put them together in just the right order to really reach into another person's soul and inspire something within them, coaxing a greatness out of them they never knew existed.
