It Ends In Fire

Before we begin, please read the entirety of Revelation 20.

Done?

Seriously, did you read it all?

Good.
There exists within the Christian intellectual community a great deal of speculation as to when and exactly how we will be raptured. Based on this passage, I would propose to you that such speculation is entirely moot. Whether we are forced to endure none, half, or all of the Great Tribulation before we as believers in Christ are rescued, the fact remains that survival itself is not our end-goal.

When Jesus Christ returns to this earth, as we who believe the Bible trust that he will one day do, he will not simply wave a wand and make everyone happy. Instead, he will appoint each and every follower of Christ as a leader over this earth, and will entrust to us the government of a people who once rejected Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. While many of us have expressed a desire to spend eternity in praise to our mighty Lord, I can't say I've heard many people express excitement about the idea of running a government.

Leadership itself is a God-given talent. Some of us have experienced a small earthly taste of its power, and those of us who haven't have probably speculated that such trappings are simply not part of "their calling" on this earth. The fact is though, in God's economy, we are all leaders.

Before there comes a new heaven and new earth, we as Christians will first be charged with fixing the earth which we currently inhabit. If you see a problem with the present world in which we live, PLEASE don't hesitate to use your God-given talents to fix it. After we've made our best attempt to fix everything, God will allow Satan to resist Him one last time. At that point, it all ends in fire.

The point is, you're probably at this very moment working on some project for your boss, or some magnificent piece of art, or some particular thing which you believe will one day have lasting significance on this earth. My advice to you is this: forget it.

Everything on this earth will one day perish in fire, and all that will matter is that, at one point in your life, you used your God-given talents for something greater than yourself. What are you working on today that will fix someone's eternity???

Interesting, saying it simply. I am very encouraged you are talking about one of the major events before all things are made new in the new heaven and earth.

There will be no sea, no death, no sickness, no marriage, and no preachers saying "thus sayith the Lord" to name a few differences off the top of my head.

Let's count off the major events before God burns all this up once and for all.

1. The great falling away of all religious people. Does not matter what religion, they will- in huge numbers and an overwhelming majority, leave their "religion". NOTE: Jesus is a relationship and NOT a religion. I and any other true believer follows Jesus, not anyone else and especially not the teachings of this world.

2. The anti-Christ is revealed in the "new" temple in Jerusalem with an idol that comes to life and kills anyone that does not worship the anti-Christ, who is Persian per Daniel 10. This is clearly written in 2 Thess 2.

3. The sun, moon and stars go completely dark- no light for about 3 to 7 days.

4. The Rapture of every Believer in Jesus by angels picking up the dead in paradise, which is under the earth as is written (find it yourself if you don't know the Bible). The Dead in Christ are first and then those that are alive on the face of the earth at that time. That is at least 3 years from this posting time stamp of 8/12/2014 A.D.

5. The Wrath of God in the second half of the Great Tribulation. This is Revelation 8:1 and on until the battle of Armageddon in the land of Israel.

6. The Second coming of Christ at the battle of Armageddon who destroys a 2 million man army with the sword of His mouth with blood flowing up to a horses bridle for 180 miles.

7. The 1000 year reign of Christ with Believers as president of a country, governor of a state, mayor of a city or just running a local PTA or such thing. We will be in charge of millions of non-believers that survived the Great Tribulation. This world will be in utter ruins. Mountains will fall down, valleys filled with rubble, houses and infrastructure will be unusable. We will need to learn now how to fix and manage these things. Has your dumb, worldly pastor EVER told you this. I finally just kept reading it myself, after 30 years of reading the Bible (I'm a slow learner) - but what does that make all the others that don't believe what has been written for 2,000 years? This I think is what John-Rick was writing about. I just wanted to show that we are being destroyed for lack of knowledge of the Bible. That is a Bible quote.

8. The battle of Gog and Magog, unbelievers that rebel again at the end of the 1000 years of Christ Jesus' reign. God the Father will now burn up this present form of heaven and earth with a word from His mouth. Now where are the Believers during this event? I know, new Jerusalem, the city made by God with 12 foundations and 12 gates of pearl who's architect and builder is God Himself. It came down from heaven and settles over the old city of Jerusalem until this last, very last rebellion occurs.

Now begins, and we get to watch this time, the creation of the new heavens and the new earth. You hear now how the earth is billions of years old. That is a lie that will now be proven wrong in front of our very eyes. The present earth is 6,125 years old per the Bible.

Do you believe the Bible?

I have found no one, as of this writing, that does. Woe is us unless we repent and believe Him that is life, truth, the way, and the resurrection. Do you know his name?
